    What it costs

For homes and condos, smart film typically costs $55 to $90 per square foot installed. The most common residential projects are a master-bath shower or window ($1,700 to $3,600), a bedroom window set ($1,200 to $2,800) and pool-facing sliders ($2,500 to $5,400 for two panels). Larger runs of glass bring the per-foot rate down. Full breakdown at smart film pricing guide.

    How we install it

We start with a free home visit to measure and to decide where the transformer and switch will go so nothing is visible. Film is applied to the room side of the glass, edges are sealed, and wiring is hidden inside the frame or behind trim. For condos we supply the certificate of insurance and scope your association asks for. You choose the control: wall switch, remote, phone app, or Alexa and Google Home.

Where we install smart film in South Florida homes

    Glass front doors and sidelights

The single most common job in our Google reviews: a full-glass front door or its sidelights that goes frosted for privacy and clear when you want to see who is there, with the wiring hidden in the frame.

    Sliding glass doors and lanais

Pool- and water-facing sliders that need privacy at night without curtains; one switch takes the whole opening from clear to frosted. See the sliding door guide.

    Bathrooms and showers

Frameless showers, bathroom windows and the glass wall between bedroom and bath, on a wet-rated film with sealed edges. See bathroom privacy film.

    Bedroom and living-room windows

Street-facing and neighbour-facing glass that keeps the daylight and the view by day and frosts in the evening, controlled from a wall switch, remote or the home app.

Home offices, gyms and wine rooms

Interior glass walls that read as open space until a call, a workout or a tasting needs privacy.

    Whole-home projects

Several reviewers started with one door or one bathroom and came back for half the house; zones are planned so each room switches on its own.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Is smart film private at night with the lights on?

Yes. In the frosted state the film blocks a clear view from either side, day or night, while still letting light through.

What happens during a power outage?

The film turns frosted, so your bathroom or bedroom stays private. It clears again when power returns.

Can I add it to impact windows?

Yes, on the interior face. We check the pane's sun exposure and coatings first; read our guide on smart film and impact glass at /blog/smart-film-on-impact-glass-florida.

Will my condo association allow it?

Almost always, because nothing changes on the exterior. We provide the insurance certificate and a one-page scope for board approval.

Can smart film go on a glass front door?

Yes, and it is our most requested residential job. The film is applied to the interior face of the door glass or the sidelights, the transformer is concealed nearby, and the switch sits by the door; impact-rated doors keep their rating.
